Mindfulness Group

Every Friday morning at 9 AM the Mindfulness Group meets to learn and practice meditation and simple yoga in a friendly group setting. We practice meditation geared toward helping people manage anxiety, depression, stress, and chronic pain. Group members report that they feel that the group helps them to cultivate more calm, peace, compassion, and acceptance. The group is conducted in Spanish.  New members are always welcome!  You are invited to come learn about and experience the benefits of meditation.  Check out this video for more information!

To join the group you need to be a patient at Lynn Community Health Center.

Please call 781-477-7222 or ask for your therapist or PCP to refer you to the group.

Facilitator Laura Morrissette completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction teacher training at UMASS Medical School. She has been studying about which types of meditation most benefit people who have anxiety and incorporates her research and 15 years of experience meditating into facilitating the group.  You can also email Laura at lmorrissette@lchcnet.org
