Women's Fund of Essex County supports Baby Cafe at LCHC!

We want to thank The Women’s Fund for supporting this wonderful resource for new and expecting moms.  This bi-weekly drop in support group is led by a lactation consultant who is there to support and encourage women who are breastfeeding.

Fix the Fiscal Cliff!!

We have only a short time to act!

At the end of September Lynn Community Health Center, along with every other federally funded community health center in the United States, will lose up to 70% of our federal funding unless Congress acts to avert a “funding cliff.” 

For Lynn Community Health Center this means a loss of up to $2.3 million, resulting in up to 1,230 people in our community losing access to healthcare.

"A Matter of Balance" Class Addresses Risk of Falling for Seniors

Are you, or do you know, a senior who is at risk for falling? Learn how to manage falls and increase activity by attending “A Matter of Balance,” an 8 week course hosted by LCHC and Greater Lynn Senior Services!  Classes will be held every Wednesday, January 28 through March 18, at Lynn Community Health Center’s main site at 269 Union Street.

Last Year: Wisdom to Wellness honored Michael and Kitty Dukakis

The Dukakises were honored as champions for access to healthcare, especially mental health and addiction services, as both public officials and private citizens.  In addition health center patient Minnie Oji Holloway brought the audience to its feet as she told how she has overcome homelessness, addiction, and complex medical issues. Watch her testimony here.

WIC Participants now use new electronic benefits card

The Massachusetts WIC Nutrition Program has moved from the old paper check system to a new electronic benefits card.
