"A Matter of Balance" Class Addresses Risk of Falling for Seniors

Are you, or do you know, a senior who is at risk for falling? Learn how to manage falls and increase activity by attending “A Matter of Balance,” an 8 week course hosted by LCHC and Greater Lynn Senior Services!  Classes will be held every Wednesday, January 28 through March 18, at Lynn Community Health Center’s main site at 269 Union Street.

Last Year: Wisdom to Wellness honored Michael and Kitty Dukakis

The Dukakises were honored as champions for access to healthcare, especially mental health and addiction services, as both public officials and private citizens.  In addition health center patient Minnie Oji Holloway brought the audience to its feet as she told how she has overcome homelessness, addiction, and complex medical issues. Watch her testimony here.

WIC Participants now use new electronic benefits card

The Massachusetts WIC Nutrition Program has moved from the old paper check system to a new electronic benefits card. What you DIDN'T expect when you were expecting!

A free, drop-in support group for pregnant women and mothers up to 1 year postpartum will begin November 19, 2014! Open to all moms on the North Shore and beyond! The group, run by Lynn Community Health Center clinicians, will meet every Wednesday 9:15-10:30 am at Lynn Community Health Center, 269 Union Street, Lynn. LCHC Staff walk for Heart Health

Congratulations to the Lynn Community Health Center Senior Care Options team, who participated in the Boston Heart on Saturday, Septmber 6th!  The team, made up of Senior Care Options nurses, LCHC staff, and family members, has raised $500 for the American Heart Association to date, and plans to continue fundraising through October.  This is the 4th year the team has participated in the event.
