Get your flu shot!

The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat,and lungs.  It can cause mild to severe illness, and can at times lead to death.  The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated.  

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months of age or older be vaccinated annually against influenza.  Patients at the health center should contact their primary care team about getting vaccinated.

LCHC Parents can get help applying to Globe Santa

If you are an LCHC Patient and have children under 12 you can receive help applying to Globe Santa next Mon-Wed. See below for requirements.

Open Enrollment for MA Health Insurance!

Open Enrollment for health insurance through the Massachusetts Health Connector began on November 1, 2015 and runs through January 31, 2016.

During Open Enrollment:

Individuals and families can apply for health insurance coverage without needing a qualifying triggering event. Current Health Connector members can update their information, review and compare plan options (including possible premium and benefit changes) and decide if they want to change plans for 2016.  If no action is taken, members will be renewed into their current plan, if it still...

LCHC Celebrates 44 Years of Caring

The Lynn Community Health Center celebrated its 44th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 28, allowing the organization to reflect on its many achievements over the past year and to recognize community members and employees who have made special contributions.

Weekly Walkers Celebrate Milestone

Members of the Lynn Community Health Center Walking Group gathered at the health center on Tuesday to celebrate a milestone in their lives: graduating from a year-long program aimed at promoting mental, physical health and wellness.

Nearly 50 strong in attendance, the program had a total of 120 participants over the course of the year.
