Chronic pain and addiction

In response to the epidemic of Opiate overdoses in our community, the Lynn Community Health Center has developed formal, evidence-based prescribing guidelines in order to address the need for proper and safe management of chronic pain.  It is our policy to assist patients in safely reducing the level of potentially harmful medications to help reduce opioid addiction and overdose deaths in the city of Lynn.

Program for People with Type 2 Diabetes

The Chronic Care Management Program is a three-month diabetes management program for people age 18 and older who have type 2 diabetes.   

After evaluating your needs, the Team will work with you in these areas:

Healthy Eating Being Active Monitoring Taking Medication Problem Solving Healthy Coping Reducing Risks

Get your flu shot!

The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat,and lungs.  It can cause mild to severe illness, and can at times lead to death.  The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated.  

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months of age or older be vaccinated annually against influenza.  Patients at the health center should contact their primary care team about getting vaccinated.

LCHC Parents can get help applying to Globe Santa

If you are an LCHC Patient and have children under 12 you can receive help applying to Globe Santa next Mon-Wed. See below for requirements.

Open Enrollment for MA Health Insurance!

Open Enrollment for health insurance through the Massachusetts Health Connector began on November 1, 2015 and runs through January 31, 2016.

During Open Enrollment:

Individuals and families can apply for health insurance coverage without needing a qualifying triggering event. Current Health Connector members can update their information, review and compare plan options (including possible premium and benefit changes) and decide if they want to change plans for 2016.  If no action is taken, members will be renewed into their current plan, if it still...

LCHC Celebrates 44 Years of Caring

The Lynn Community Health Center celebrated its 44th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 28, allowing the organization to reflect on its many achievements over the past year and to recognize community members and employees who have made special contributions.

The Andrea Gaulzetti Award for Excellence in Community Health was presented to Emily Johnson, LSW.  This award is given in memory of Andrea Gaulzetti, who was the Chief Nursing Officer at the health center for 17 years.
